Dong Ha to Hue.....the Imperial City

   This morning we ar leaving for Danang and an overhttps://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Imperial_City,_Huếnight at a hotel on China Beach,
We have had a much appreciated if not needed day of rest, though we did not sit on our laurels.
We did an all day tour with the lovely guide, Rose and with a we toured 3 tombs of Kings from the Nguyen Dynasty and spent several hours touring the Forbidden Purple City in the Citadel.

Hue is a lovely city divided by the Song Huong or Perfume River.  The Citadel is a huge walled area complete with a moat that sits on one side of the river and surrounds the forbidden city.

Nguyen Dynasty (1802–1945), the last Vietnamese dynasty, which was founded and dominated by the powerful Nguyen family. The Nguyen family emerged into prominence in the 16th century, when Vietnam was under the Le dynasty
